Sheldon College Alumnus, Ryan Harrison (Class of 2006) continues to make a name for himself as an Australian Actor and Producer, with his current role in Network 10/Netflix’s Australian teen mystery drama, Dive Club, now shooting in Port Douglas.

The show follows a feisty group of teen divers racing to find their best friend who has disappeared after a storm hit their small coastal town. According to Ryan,

“I play a series regular by the name of Leonid Komarov, a world-renowned Russian Treasure Hunter and Author. I help the Dive Club girls solve the mystery of their missing friend.”

Ryan’s sister and 2003 Sheldon College graduate, Georgia Harrison is one of the script writers for the show, meaning this sibling duo has had plenty of bonding time on set together.  Amongst other things, Georgia is a produced screenwriter with professional credits including the feature film RipTide and award-winning webseries The 27 Club.  Fortunately for Georgia and Ryan, their collaboration looks set to continue, with Seasons 2 and 3 of Dive Club likely to shoot in March 2022.

Ryan has also been cast in a supporting role in US Netflix TV series, Pieces of Her, starring Toni Collette, Bella Heathcote and David Wenham, with filming of Season 2 also due to start in 2022.  In the meantime, Ryan remains busy with his own production company, Sparrow Studios, which has a number of feature films currently in development with several renowned Australian actors on board.  Sparrow Studios was recently a collaborating production company on the documentary “Birth Time”, which has been nominated and/or won over 20 international film awards.

Director of Co-Curricular, teacher and friend, Mr Darren Harvey, had this to say about Ryan and Georgia’s success,

“We are incredibly proud of this talented family. How wonderful that they can share their talents with not only each other, but the world.”

We love what you do Ryan and Georgia, you are truly an inspiration to our students!
